ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The bond of brothers is hard to measure.

Over the weekend, Jared and Connor Mang suited up for the last time together with UNM baseball.

Playing Lobo baseball together was a dream come true for the Los Alamos natives.

“We've been playing together for so long, it's hard to wrap your head around that it might that it's going to end eventually," Jared said.

Connor, the young of the brothers, said he soaked in every last minute of Saturday’s game at San Diego State.

“I learned work ethic a lot from him. He's got as good of a work ethic,” Connor said.

The Mangs spent most of the last two years back-to-back in the Lobo batting order, Connor in the three hole, Jared batting cleanup.

They finished the season as the Lobos’ top two hitters.

Beyond the numbers, the brothers grew closer off the field.

“I don't think we really appreciated how special it was until this year and getting to do it every single day and head back-to-back so it's been really special,” Jared said.

“I'm going to miss it all. We do everything together,” Connor said.
