It was the Albuquerque native’s first time participating in a home run derby at the MLB level.

Nationals’ outfielder Bryce Harper went on to win the derby in front of his home crowd.

Bregman will appear in his first MLB All-Star game Tuesday night at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.
