Davie: Turnovers will be key against the Aggies

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Lobos will try to end a 2-game losing streak against the New Mexico State Aggies Saturday.
Coach Bob Davie said turnovers were key in both loses.
“Last year, they beat us by two points. It was 30-to-5 going into the fourth quarter. We came roaring back, scored 23, tried two two-point conversions, made one of them, turned the ball over 4 times. I think so, we have turned the ball over 6 times against them,” Davie said.
The Aggies take a lot of pride in the wins over the Lobos.
But the Aggies haven't come close to winning a game this season, being outscored by 100 points in 3 games.
However, the players are hanging their hats on a win over the Lobos and a win over the UTEP. Many of them believe if they can win those two games, it's a successful season.
“The Lobos and UTEP are the biggest rival games. Whenever we win those two games, it's like we have a winning season,” said NMSU running back Jason Huntley.
