Former UNM football coach lands job at Maryland

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Former UNM head football coach Mike Locksley will be leading a new team next season.

Locksley will take over as head coach of Maryland.

Locksley has spent the last three seasons at Alabama, most recently serving as their offensive coordinator.

Locksley, who was fired from UNM, was involved in numerous scandals while the head football coach.

A former administrative assistant filed a sex and age discrimination complaint against Locksley. He was also involved in a confrontation with an assistant coach, for which he was suspended.

Locksley had a 2-26 record with the Lobos.
