ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Monday night Colorado Rockies pitch Kyle Freeland had a solid start with the Isotopes.

He went six innings allowing just five hits, with three strikeouts.

Freeland was sent down to Albuquerque weeks ago after major struggles in April and May.

The Rockies are hoping he gets back on track sooner rather than later.

"Kyle Freeland is an important piece to us getting done what we want to get done this year," said Rockies owner Dick Monfort. "These are things that happen, it makes sense to slow the game down and get a player in a situation where he can really work on things."
