Jackson, who averaged 25 points in the Mountain West Conference Tournament, tested the NBA Draft waters but ultimately decided to return to UNM.

“I feel like it was beneficial for me, you know, just to learn and grow as a player and, you know, to come back, you know, feed my teammates information,” Jackson said.

Jackson withdrew from the NBA Draft picture after three weeks of training.

“I learned a lot, you know. It's motivating and things like for my body that I feel like I needed to work on,” Jackson said. “Little things like that, just getting a little feel and taste of what that's like and I learned a lot."

Throughout the process, Jackson maintained college eligibility, which allowed him to return to UNM for at least one more year.
