ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Lobo football players started class Monday, just like the other thousands of UNM students.

But 24 hours earlier, they were on the field, getting ready for their season opener.

It’s a juggling act that Coach Bob Davie understands.

“I've seen this a lot through my coaching career. You know, you just try to grind through this, get as much work as you can,” Davie said.

The Lobos kick off their season against Incarnate Word on September 1.
