Staring the season with a victory

Iona won their first game of the season, beating Albany.

In that game, four players scored more than ten points. One of those was Lobo-commit Tajuan Agee. He finished with 10 points.

The Iona star that wasn't

Iona's star player was expected to be Roland Griffin. However, he got into an altercation with an assistant coach and was kicked off of the team.

Lobos & Turnovers

The Lobos turned the ball over 20 times against Cal State Northridge.

Coach Paul Weir said his team has focused cutting down the turnovers.

"Iona has speed. Our transition defense in the early part of the clock is pivotal," Weir said. "They have multiple guards and forwards that can push the ball and put pressure on our defense in the early part of the clock."

Game Time

Tipoff for Tuesday's game is set for 7 p.m. in the Pit.
