ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The New Mexico men's basketball team is preparing for their game against the Nevada Wolf Pack this Saturday.
The Lobos are fresh off their win over San Diego State, and the Lobos beat the Wolf Pack previously on Jan. 5. That is still Nevada's only loss.
Nevada head coach Eric Musselman says he doesn't put much stock in the conference tournament - it's more about the regular season.
"I just think there is just too many factors going into the conference tournament and put all your eggs in that. You work all summer long, you have this time in September and October that you still getting ready, and then you got your 30-games to win this automatic bid in 3 or 4 wins," Musselman said. "I don't think it's fair to your team."
The Wolf Pack is on top of the Mountain West Conference standings, with Utah State only one game behind.
The Lobos are 4-6 in the conference and 10-12 overall.
