ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The UNM football team kicked off spring practice at 8:30 Tuesday morning.

Once again, the quarterback position is up for grabs. There are five quarterbacks on the spring roster. They include Tevaka Tuioti, Sheriron Jones, Trae Hall, and transfers Brandt Hughes and Will Heckman.

Tevaka Tuioti sat out most of last year with a broken clavicle.

"Just being able to see the guys who are in the training room and in the weight room, who were injured that I was with last year, it was fun and exciting to see them on the field," Tuioti said.

Sheriron Jones also returns to the Lobos this season.

"I had a great time. Coming out, being able to have that experience, you know," Jones said.

Jones started in seven of the 11 games he played last year.
