ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The New Mexico women's basketball team was shocked on Monday night when they were knocked off by San Diego State in the Mountain West Conference tournament. On Thursday night, they get to right a wrong when they meet Denver in the Pit.

It's the opening round of the WNIT. The Lobos faced San Diego State without point guard Aisia Robertson, but getting to practice for a week without Robertson should pay off.

"It was hard for us, we probably had one practice to figure out how to play without a player who dominates the ball 80 percent of the time," Lobos head coach Mike Bradbury said. "Offensively in that game, we did struggle, but we have had time to make some, what we feel like, some necessary adjustments and things that can make us more successful."
