ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The UNM women's basketball team beat the Nevada Wolf Pack 85-74.

"We just wanted to start good and get off to a good start, not bury ourselves early," said Lobos head coach Mike Bradbury.

The Lobos did have a good start with a score of 8-0 at the end of the first quarter. The women kept it up, and at halftime the Lobos were leading 47-34.

The team is 9-2 in the Mountain West Conference and 19-3 overall.

The Lobo women will play the San Jose State Spartans next, on Wednesday, Feb. 13.
