ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The Lobos are looking to climb the Mountain West standings as the tournament approaches.

With six games left, UNM sits in a tie for seventh place.

The Lobos play Fresno State Saturday.

The Bulldogs, which are in a tie for second in the conference, beat the Lobos by 12 in their first meeting.

The Lobos will need help from their big guys inside to pull off the upset.

“It takes pressure off the guards knowing that we can get the ball into our bigs,” said Keith McGee. “If they double down, they can kick it out and we can play from there. It honestly feels good to have two threats down there."

Tipoff for the UNM-Fresno State game is 5 p.m.
