ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Lobos had a big potential recruit in town Friday night in the form of 6 foot 6 shooting guard Terry Armstrong.

Armstrong made his official visit to New Mexico on the same night as the men's basketball Cherry and Silver scrimmage. He currently attends Bella Vista Prep in Scottsdale, and is considering Arizona and Oklahoma along with the Lobos.

If head coach Paul Weir nabs him, he might have the Lobo fanbase to thank.

"It's kind of overwhelming, a lot of fans just saying they want me to be here and stuff," Armstrong said. "No other school has done that like that, so I feel like this one stands out."

New Mexico's season tips off Nov. 6 at Cal State Northridge.
