ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Anthony Mathis will not practice with the team Monday or Tuesday.

Mathis is hoping that time off the court will help his bruised tailbone heal.

Mathis played with the bruised tailbone last week.

Coach Paul Weir said Mathis will be re-evaluated before Wednesday's game against San Jose State.

"He played against San Diego State, he played against Nevada, I don't like where we're at now compared to when the injury started," Weir said. "We're going to rest him and just see what kind of impact this has on his injury."

Tipoff for Wednesday's game at The Pit is 7 p.m.
