With the loss, the Lobo Men are now 8-7 overall and 2-1 in conference. They will play Colorado State next Saturday afternoon in Fort Collins.

UNM Head Coach Paul Weir said the upcoming game against Colorado State poses a challenge for the Lobos.

“Obviously going on the road anytime in conference is difficult Colorado State is very very good basketball team they have an elite big man in Carvacho, excellent rebounder and force in the paint and they couple that with very good guard play,” Weir said. “Quick guard play has given us issues this year. In man, it gave us some issue in the early part of the year and against UNLV in the zone.
