Former Lobo Joe Furstinger will hit the hardwood again during the games. The big man helped the UNM go to the Mountain West Conference tournament championship game, but he said the next few days is about having fun.

"It ties back to years and years ago," said Brandon Mason, a UNM assistant coach. "Former Lobos always support the event. Even Aggies used to drive up just to compete in this event. It's a huge deal for the state. The competition has always been like a high level."

"Coach B. Mason has been telling me about it for a few months," Furstinger added. "I like the idea a lot. I'm playing for a team coming up."
