ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Isotopes Park won the endorsement of MLB star Nolan Arenado.

“It's a great ballpark, man. I’m really impressed with how it looks,” Arenado said.

Monday was Arenado’s first time in Albuquerque.

Before the exhibition game between the Rockies and Isotopes, the third basemen said the players should be happy to be playing in Albuquerque.

“Man these guys, they got it made,” Arenado said. “It's a beautiful place.”

Since 2015, Arenado has emerged as one of the best power hitters in the MLB.

He showed off his skills in front of Albuquerque fans, hitting a home run during the game.

Arenado will be the face of the Rockies for years to come.

During the offseason, he signed and eight-year, $260 million extension.

“I was happy to get it over with. I  think whenever you have less things in your mind, it makes life a lot easier,” Arenado said. “I'm really happy to be a Rockie and hopefully be a Rockie for a long time."
