ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— Aisia Robertson played in front of family and friends when the Lobos took on San Jose State Wednesday.

Robertson grew up in the Bay Area, a short drive away from San Jose State.

Robertson’s five-month-old nephew was among her supporters in the stands.

It was her first time seeing him in person.

“He has like these light gray eyes and it was just like looking at him the first time, you know. Facetime just doesn't do justice, doesn't matter if you have an iPhone X or anything, so just seeing him for that and holding him for the first time really made the trip that more amazing,” Robertson said.

From her high school days in California to her journey to New Mexico, Robertson's family has been there since day one.

“A lot of those people, they were in the gym with me, you know, constantly telling me different things I could work on, different tools I could put in my tool bag,” Robertson said. “It was just really great to go out there and basically just show them what I've been working hard on and it was a great turn out. It was amazing."
