'Topes lose 4th straight after early deficit proves to be too much

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Isotopes entered their game Sunday looking to end a three-game losing streak, but ended up digging themselves into an early hole when they gave up six first-inning runs.

A solo homer by Albuquerque's Noel Cuevas provided the 'Topes with some hope in the next inning, but the rally would fall short as the Salt Lake Bees won 7-2 for their fourth straight victory.

The series finale between the Isotopes and Bees is set for 11:05 a.m. Monday at Isotopes Park.
