Track and Field: Lobo women are 'nothing short of remarkable'

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The UNM women's Track and Field team was outstanding over the past week. They competed in the NCAA Championship and finished eighth overall.

They were also the highest-finishing non-Power 5 conference team in the meet. 

Weini Kelati won the 10,000m and head coach Joe Franklin believes that the Lobos can do this year after year. 

"For women to have that accolade is nothing short of remarkable," Franklin said. "These women put everything into it."
