The Lobos did not make the tournament.

However, New Mexico has a couple of players that Big League scouts are interested in.

Pitcher Justin Slaten and slugger Jared Mang were both named to the Mountain West All Conference Team.

Coach Ray Birmingham believes other players also have a shot at continuing their baseball career.

“Justin Slaten will be a great big draft pick, like one of the biggest ever at the school, and deservedly so,” Birmingham said. “Guys like Watari and Jared Mang, Connor Mang and they will all be gone and Hayden Schilling will have a chance.”
