UNM baseball team attempts to climb out of last place in MWC

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The UNM baseball team has their backs against the wall.

They must win and get some help to make the Mountain West Conference Tournament.

UNM sits in last place in the conference.

They are one-and-a-half games behind the Air Force in the standings.

Despite their 9-15-1 record, the team is staying optimistic.

“We got to be consistent with pitching, hitting, timely hitting and I think anything can happen in this conference,” said Jeff Deimling.

The Lobos begin a three-game series against San Diego State on Thursday.
