ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The UNM football team is hoping to return to their winning ways next season.

The team ended last season a disappointing 3-9.

Senior D'Angelo Ross says those losses taught him a lot about handling adversity.

“You just gotta focus on what you have to do, especially if it's not going well, just keep pushing and doing your job every day," Ross said.

Ross, a California native, says he’s adjusted to Albuquerque after a quick move last year. He says his teammates have helped make the Duke City a second home.

“My roommates, they were here before me. They're actually younger than me. They kind of made me feel comfortable and just being around the community, everyone's welcoming. I mean there's a lot of nice people," Ross said.

Ross helped his previous school, Fullerton College, have a turnaround season. And that's exactly what he plans to do with the Lobos.
