UNM women fall to 3-2 in MW play

LARAMIE, Wyo. -- The New Mexico women's basketball team dropped its second straight Mountain West game with a 66-55 loss at Wyoming.

Guard Cherise Beynon recorded a team-high 28 points and guard N'dea Flye added 10 points, but two starters went scoreless. Center Jaisa Nunn pulled down nine points but only scored four points. Madi Washington netted nine points off the bench for UNM.

Wyoming outscored New Mexico in each of the first three quarters, including 23-17 in the third.

Liv Roberts led the Cowgirls with 19 points and 10 rebounds, followed by Bailee Cotton with 13 and Taylor Rusk with 10.
UNM fell to 15-3 on the season, 3-2 in conference play.
