ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The University of New Mexico men's basketball team will leave for Las Vegas. The Lobos are the No. 3 seed at this year's Mountain West tournament.

New Mexico will play Thursday, but they'll have to wait and see if their opponent is Wyoming or San Jose State. That's all coach Paul Weir wants to worry about at this point.

"Throwing too much at them about a Mountain West Conference championship and who we play Saturday and who we play Friday, and then there are fans and then there's this and then there's that," he said. "There's just so much going on, and all I've ever tried to do since I've become head coach is try to simplify their world and make it a little more basic."
