McNeal granted release from UNM

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico men's basketball team announced Thursday granted a release to junior guard Chris McNeal after one season with the program.

McNeal played in every game this past season and started in nine of them. He scored 9.5 points and provided 2.7 assists a game. He recorded 20 points or more three times.

"Chris has truly been a great person to have in our program," head coach Paul Weir said. "We wish him nothing but the best in his future."

McNeal had come to UNM from Indian Hills Community College.
