ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Despite a 19-point effort from Jaisa Nunn, the Lobos dropped a 63-62 loss to Wyoming Wednesday night at Dreamstyle Arena.
Nunn made seven of her nine attempts from the field and pulled down nine rebounds. However, Wyoming converted 52.2 percent as a team in the second half while UNM shot 46.2 percent.
"We didn't control what we were capable of controlling," UNM coach Mike Bradbury said. "I feel like I didn’t do my job in making sure that the plan was clearly understood."
Cherise Beynon added 13 points for UNM while Tesha Buck netted 11.
Selale Kepenc paced Wyoming with 15 points, followed by Natalie Baker with 11 and Marta Gomez with 10.
The loss dropped UNM to 20-8 on the year, 8-7 in Mountain West play.
"We have to focus on our game plan," Nunn said. "Our mental game plan wasn’t all the way there as you can see from the results. We have to buckle down in practice and make sure we get everything the way that we want it."
