ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – UNM’s Makuach Maluach got the Lobos going in Sunday’s win over Central Arkansas.

The Australian sophomore played his best game of the year against the Bears.

He scored a total of 22 points for the Lobos in Sunday’s game.

This season, Maluach has been adjusting to playing guard after spending his freshman year playing forward. He said he was happy to help the Lobos snap back from their losing streak.

"It felt great. It was good to get you know, a couple of shots to go in and, you know just riding the wave and just wanted to say thank you to the fans for turning out again always a huge win for us,” he said.

The Lobos play North Texas at the Pit on Tuesday.
