ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The UNM men’s basketball team is excited to start the season.

Cal State Northridge will host the Lobos Tuesday night.

Coach Paul Weir said there are some benefits to starting the season on the road.

“It's exciting as well, just to kind of get out, get away from our home for a while, get together and bond a little bit, get connected, go through everything that entails playing a road game, which we've gone through now,” Weir said. “We have to go out and execute.”

Weir, who wore a red sweater much of last season, said he’s bringing it back this season.

Tipoff for the UNM-CSUN game is set for 8 p.m.
