Albuquerque trash and recycling collection will halt for Thanksgiving

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The city’s Solid Waste Management Department will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25.

Anyone who has trash and recycling picked up on Thursdays will be serviced Friday, Nov. 26, this week. Any large items scheduled to be picked up Nov. 25 will be picked up Nov. 26 instead.

Anyone serviced on Fridays will be serviced Saturday, Nov. 27, for their trash, recycling and large items.

All three convenience centers and the Cerro Colorado Landfill will all be closed on Thanksgiving. Each place will reopen Nov. 26. The centers will reopen from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the landfill will reopen from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The main administrative office and the ACT Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center will each be closed Nov. 25 and 26.

The office will reopen Monday, Nov. 29. ACT will reopen Nov. 27.
