ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque police say a BCSO deputy saw a man on the ground at the Dion’s on Coors near Central Wednesday night.

When the deputy got closer, he saw the man had been stabbed and was unresponsive. The deputy called the Albuquerque Police Department and officers came to the scene.

A homicide call-out was initiated. The area around the Dion’s was closed while authorities were on scene.

As of Monday, Albuquerque police had reported 100 homicides so far this year. Two homicide investigations have been launched since then, bringing the total to 102 homicides. That homicide total does not include a state police investigation into a double homicide or BCSO investigations at Albuquerque addresses.
