APS: Kirtland ES students safely return to class following evacuation

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Kirtland Elementary School was evacuated Monday morning due to a reported bomb threat, according to Albuquerque Public Schools.

Officials later said it appears that someone had brought popper fireworks to school.

APS posted about the evacuation on their website.

As of 11 a.m. Monday, students have safely returned to class.
