Bernalillo County to require masks at all county facilities
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Bernalillo County Manager Julie Morgas Baca issued an emergency administrative order Friday afternoon requiring masks for all individuals entering a Bernalillo County facility.
The requirement takes effect Monday, August 2 and remains in effect until further notice.
All individuals must wear a mask and continue wearing it while inside county facilities. Masks are not required at outdoor county facilities but are highly encouraged.
The county also recommends six feet of social distancing.
All county buildings have sanitation stations with hand sanitizer or wipes available.
The mask requirement comes as COVID-19 cases rise in Bernalillo County because of the highly-contagious Delta variant.
