Carlsbad dealing with rain, flooding

CARLSBAD, N.M.- The City of Carlsbad is preparing for possible evacuations.

The area is being hit hard by rain, which is expected to last through at least Tuesday.

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham tweeted that the state is coordinating local resources in the response to the flooding in Eddy County.

Drivers are asked to stay away from running water and avoid flooded areas.
