Entire UNM football team tests negative for COVID-19 ahead of spring practice

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The UNM football team held a scrimmage to Wednesday.

Along with the battle for playing time, the players and coaches are doing everything they can to stay healthy.

Coach Danny Gonzales said the entire team recently tested negative for COVID-19.

"We tested 100% negative yesterday for our entire football team and staff," Gonzales said. "That’s awesome. We didn’t miss anybody out here that we weren’t expecting because of COVID."

UNM will hold another scrimmage Saturday. Fans will be allowed to attend.
