Fully vaccinated no longer required to wear a mask in Durango

DURANGO, CO- Durango is following the state’s lead.
It will no longer require people who are fully vaccinated to wear a mask.
"The city adopted an emergency ordinance on November 23, 2020, requiring facemasks under certain conditions within the city providing for enforcement mechanisms," said Durango Mayor Kim Baxter. "That emergency ordinance has been repeatedly extended and the most current extension expires on May 18, 2021"
Businesses can still require masks.
City officials are encouraging the unvaccinated to get a shot.
