Lobo football eyes spring ball

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The UNM football team returned to the weight room this week.

The Lobos hope to begin spring ball as early as March 2.

However, Coach Danny Gonzales understands that the date could change depending on the state’s public health order.

Fourteen seniors are returning with an extra year of eligibility.

So far, three freshmen and two transfers have enrolled early to take part in the spring ball.

"Exciting times around here. The expectations haven’t changed. Everything we’ve done in Las Vegas and brought about we were able to be covered while we were there read zero positive test the entire time we were there," Gonzales said.
