Man shot, killed after abduction near Route 66 Casino

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a kidnapping that turned into a homicide.

On Saturday night, BSCO responded to a call of a shooting near Route 66 Casino.

Upon arrival, officials said they found a dead man in his early 20s with several gunshot wounds.

In an update Sunday, deputies said someone abducted a woman and her brother – and took them to an area near the casino on Saturday night.

Deputies said her brother was shot and killed – but the woman got away and flagged down investigators.
