New Mexico reports 29 new deaths, 3,039 additional COVID-19 cases over four-day period

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) reported 29 additional COVID-19-related deaths in a report that combines the data from Friday through Monday.

The latest deaths include:

Seventeen recent deaths:

  • A male in his 30s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A female in her 40s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A second female in her 40s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 40s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A male in his 50s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A female in her 70s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 70s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A female in her 70s from Chaves County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 60s from Doña Ana County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 70s from Doña Ana County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A male in his 50s from Eddy County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.

  • A male in his 50s from Otero County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A male in his 60s from Otero County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A male in his 70s from Rio Arriba County.
  • A second male in his 70s from Rio Arriba County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A male in his 60s from San Juan County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A second male in his 60s from San Juan County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A female in her 70s from San Juan County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 70s from Valencia County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A second male in his 70s from Valencia County. The individual had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 80s from Valencia County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions. The individual was a resident of the Avamere at Fiesta Park facility in Albuquerque.

The number of deaths of New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now 5,774.

In addition to the deaths, the state reported 3,309 additional COVID-19 cases over the four-day period. New Mexico has reported a total of 345,663 cases.

  • 3 new cases among New Mexico Corrections Department inmates at the Western New Mexico Correctional Facility in Cibola County
