Paradise Loop Fire at 65% containment

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A wildfire burning west of Moriarty and southeast of Edgewood is now 65% contained, fire officials say.

The fire, which broke out Saturday afternoon, has burned about 52 acres.

Law enforcement lifted evacuation notices for residents along Vigil Road in Torrance County.

At least one person was sent to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

Fire officials are continuing to monitor hotspots in the area.
