ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Lobo football kicks off conference play this week with Air Force.

Back-to-back losses on the road have the Lobos pressing the reset button.

Six players missed Saturday’s game at UTEP due to COVID-19 contact tracing.

Danny Gonzales, UNM football head coach, said it’s up in the air if any of them will be cleared to play Saturday.

"We’ve gotta keep testing negative through those deals. It has nothing to do with trying to keep an advantage or not. They’ve got guys that they’re dealing with too so it’s not like I’m trying to hide it from coach Calhoun and those guys we’re trying to figure it out ourselves,” said Gonzales.
