Pitino sorting out offensive, defensive strategy in the summer

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- UNM Men’s Basketball Coach Richard Pitino is bringing in a new era of offense and defense.

Under Paul Weir, the Lobos tried to push the ball and shoot a lot of three-pointers.

Pitino said he will have sets on the offense, and the run the floor when it makes sense. The defense will be much more aggressive.

Pitino said he’s been spending a lot of time thinking about strategy.

"I’m kind of going through my brain every day thinking about that part of," Pitino said.
