Repeat DWI suspect among six arrested Friday at APD checkpoint

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A man repeatedly suspected of DWI was one of six suspects arrested Friday at a NE Albuquerque checkpoint.
Pete Perez was arrested at a checkpoint near San Mateo and Indian School. The DWI arrest is Perez’s third this year and seventh in the past decade. His last two cases were dismissed due to competency issues.
APD screened more than 400 vehicles Friday.
