Saltes reflects on life ahead of NFL Draft

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Former UNM football player is working out in South Dakota ahead of the NFL Draft.
Growing up on a reservation, Saltes said he never thought he would get an opportunity to potentially play in the NFL.
"We’d watch NBA players, NFL players, senators, members of congress, and man that’s cool, but there’s no way a little kid like me could make it from the reservation and get that far," Saltes said.
The NFL Draft begins Thursday.
