UNM men’s basketball ties for 8th in Mountain West media poll

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Mountain West men’s basketball media poll was released Wednesday, with the Colorado State Rams living large.
CSU was picked to win the conference with 11-first place votes, last year’s regular season and tournament champ San Diego State was picked second with 7-first place votes.
Utah State was a little high, they have a brand-new coach, lost Sam Merrill, lost Neemias Queta their starting point guard transferred to Utah and so did their 6th man, tough to overcome.
The Lobos finished in a tie for 8th place with Wyoming Cowboys.
