ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – An Albuquerque Community Safety responder went to the hospital Wednesday after apparently getting shot with a high-powered BB gun.

It happened near Coronado Park, a block north of the interstate.

A spokesperson from ACS says an employee was responding to a call when someone drove by and shot them in the back. They say it was unrelated to the call they were responding about.

A bystander was shot as well but declined medical treatment.

The responder is expected to be out of the hospital Wednesday night.
