Off-duty BCSO sheriff busts alleged shoplifter
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Bernalillo County Sheriff John Allen took down a suspect accused of stealing at the Dick’s Sporting Goods on the West Side.
According to BCSO, Allen confronted three people after watching them stuff store items into duffle bags while he was shopping off-duty.
Two of them took off, leaving the items behind. One person allegedly tried to fight Allen, but the sheriff brought him down. The suspect was later taken into custody.
Deputies arrested Antonio Oros. He’s facing several criminal charges including shoplifting and battery.
