APD investigates fatal shooting near Central and San Mateo

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead Wednesday night.
According to APD, officers responded to 5511 Central Avenue NE just before 8 p.m. after receiving a call about a person being shot. Upon arrival, officers found a man dead.
Police said they detained multiple people who were nearby, but have not named any suspects.
