ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque police say a suspect in a local double homicide investigation was arrested in Durango Wednesday.

Police say Samuel Archuleta, 21, is accused of shooting his two roommates, Jarrod Jackson and Nicole Sanchez, both 25, at the residence they shared on Girard.

Albuquerque detectives collaborated with law enforcement in the Durango area to apprehend Archuleta Wednesday.

Archuleta reportedly fled Albuquerque after telling his parents he killed his roommates in early May.
